RICK ROSS, the American rapper who founded the record label ‘Maybach Music Group’, has released his much anticipated new mix-tape ‘Ashes to Ashes’. The 34-year-old has previously released the studio albums ‘Deeper Than Rap’ and ‘Teflon Don’.
Ross has slowly become one of the most talked about artists in the US and he was recently included on the New York Times ‘Top 10 Albums of the Year’ list. ‘Ashes to Ashes’ is seen as the record to rival fellow rapper J.COLE’s ‘Friday Night Lights’ mix-tape. The album features a plethora of collaborations including appearances from WIZ KHALIFA, LEX LUGER, CLINTON SPARKS and BEAT BILLIONAIRE. Ross recently released his highly acclaimed fourth studio album ‘Teflon Don’, and the first single ‘Super High’ featured NE-YO. The album debuted at number-two on the Billboard 200 chart, shifting 176,000 copies in its first week of sales. ‘Teflon Don’s’ second single, ‘Live Fast, Die Young’, was produced by KANYE WEST.
Ross was in the headlines in 2009 for an apparent ‘feud’ with rapper 50 CENT. The ‘Get Rich or Die Tryin’ star allegedly looked at Ross “the wrong way” at the BET AWARDS.
